Nicotinic acid, also known as niacin, which belongs to the vitamin B family, is an organic compound and a form of Vitamin B3, and essential human nutrient. Nicotinic acid as a dietary supplement is used to treat pellagra, a disease caused by niacin deficiency. Signs and symptoms include skin and mouth lesions, anemia, headaches, and tiredness. Niacin , has good thermal stability and can be sublimated.
